Barron’s Annual Roster features 15 stalwart names (including Carson’s) that never seem to leave
Five years into the bull market, ironically, investing has suddenly gotten a lot trickier. “The stock market has turned choppy, bonds continue to look risky despite recent gains, and Russia’s annexation of Crimea is feeding geopolitical jitters.” So say the editors of Barron’s magazine in their write up for this year’s list: America’s Top 100 Financial Advisors.
“The situation has our top 100 advisors working overtime in search of fresh opportunities. [They] have spent their careers seeking out exceptional investments, not to mention bending over backward to provide outstanding service,” concluded writer Steve Garmhausen.
ON “THE STALWART 15” LIST: RON CARSON AND TEAM
Going the extra mile is part of what sets the Barron’s top advisors apart. As a result, Ron Carson and his team at Carson Wealth Management Group remain on the 2014 Top 100 list. Barron’sfirst ranked the nation’s top 100 advisors in 2004, based on assets under management, revenue generated for the advisors’ firms, and the quality of advisors’ practices.
“Those are still the main criteria but in comparing data from 2004 with this year’s top 100, it’s clear that the best advisors are being rewarded with an ever-growing share of client assets,” Garmhausen said.
In addition to the Top 100 list, Carson’s team appears on “The Stalwart 15,” a sub-list of advisors who have been included on every Barron’s Top 100 Advisor ranking since its inception in 2004.

“Investors should take note,” said Robert Moore, President of LPL Financial who has gotten to know the Carson team and their work ethic over the past six years. “These advisors have been recognized by Barron’s to be among the very best advisors in the country and are poised to continue their growth trajectory. I know that Ron Carson and his team at Carson Wealth Management Group are committed to providing their clients with proactive and transparent service that exceeds expectations,” Moore said.
SECOND BARRON’S LIST FOR CARSON THIS YEAR
This is the second Barron’s listing for the Carson team this year. In February, Carson was re-affirmed as the top advisor in the state of Nebraska for the eighth consecutive year. Carson is one of only a handful of advisors across the nation who has made both the “Top 100 Financial Advisors” list (announced in April each year) and the “Top Independent Advisors” list (announced in August each year) since inception, while also holding the #1 ranking in his home state (announced in February each year) for the past eight years.
“My team and I have an unwavering dedication to our clients,” said Carson. “We are thrilled that the editors of Barron’s magazine have recognized our efforts to deliver top notch service and put our client’s interest first and foremost. Our passion is helping clients discover their True Wealth – that is their unique meaning and purpose in life; all that money can’t buy and death can’t take away,” he explained pointing to a firm motto: “Wealth Designed. Life Defined.”
