Omaha Financial Advisor Earns National Recognition for Philanthropy Ron Carson is a Finalist in the 2015 Invest in Others Community Leadership Awards

Newton, MA – July 27, 2015 – Ron Carson, Founder and CEO of Carson Wealth Management Group in Omaha, NE, has been announced as one of three national finalists for the Catalyst Award, one of five categories in the ninth annual Invest in Others Community Leadership Awards. Carson is being honored for his work with The Dreamweaver Foundation, which will receive a $5,000 donation from the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation. If Carson wins his category, the donation will increase to $20,000.

The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation established the Community Leadership Awards to recognize the philanthropic achievements of financial advisors and financial services firms in communities across the country and around the world. Advisors are nominated by their peers for actively giving back to non-profits to improve their communities and make a difference in the lives of others. There are five award categories: Catalyst, Community Service, Global Community Impact, Volunteer of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement.

Invest in Others received hundreds of nominations for the Community Leadership Awards this year. Finalists were selected based on their leadership, dedication, contribution, inspiration, and impact on a non-profit and the community it serves. Ron Carson and his wife, Jeanie, created The Dreamweaver Foundation to fulfill end-of-life Dreams for seniors with terminal illnesses. They make dreams come true as a special way to thank and honor impoverished seniors in their last days – and to create long-lasting memories for those who give. Since its inception in 2012, the foundation’s impact on the greater Omaha community and beyond has been substantial.

Dreams fulfilled include a long-awaited fishing trip, multi-generational family portraits, a mother-daughter-granddaughter
spa day, a romantic first date after 15 years, and once-in-a-lifetime cruise with sisters. This would not have happened without Carson’s vision and leadership. He serves on the Board of Directors and accommodates his schedule to be involved with every Dream. He has donated his personal resources and has spearheaded fundraising efforts to fulfill dreams. Many have been inspired and now share his dream to start a chapter in their own community. The Dreamweaver Foundation is well on its way to becoming a national movement.

Awards will be presented at the annual Invest in Others Community Leadership Awards Gala, a premier event attended by over 400 financial advisors and financial services executives, on September 30, 2015 in New York City.
