Omaha, NE – August 26, 2019 – Beth Walker, an advisor who has specialized in financial strategies for families with college-bound children and author of Never Pay Retail for College, today announced her decision to affiliate as a Carson Wealth office. Walker established her $70M AUM practice in 2002 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and broadened her service offering under the name Center for College Solutions in 2017 with the release of her book. Key in her decision to take the next step forward was the exciting ability to leverage Carson’s resources so that her clients can best see how their money works to support their dreams and aspirations.

With a more substantial depth and breadth of resources for all aspects of wealth management (including investments, insurance, legal and tax advice, and integrated planning and solutions), along with platforms and programs at negotiated rates that favor the client, Walker will be able to increase her focus, speed and ease of doing business.

“I’m a mom on a mission. I work with other moms and dads to create better futures—for the next generation heading off to college and for the nest they leave behind. Conventional wisdom has left most families unprepared for the challenges associated with the cost of college so it takes a bold, innovative organization to recognize the criticality of this crisis,” said Founder Beth Walker. “Carson’s culture and commitment to creating better outcomes for clients provides the mindset, the skillsets and the network of resources that can actually make college an affordable reality for all families.”

As with other advisors who have affiliated and rebranded as Carson Wealth offices, Walker maintains active majority ownership of the firm and will remain the strategic decision-maker for all business decisions and operations from her Colorado Springs office.

Walker evaluated nine options prior to her transition, and worked through their value propositions until she whittled the list down to two that really surfaced as probable partners—ultimately opting to take advantage of the increasingly popular equity swap option available to advisors through Carson Wealth.

“Beth has created a truly amazing practice and is among the most trusted advisors for financial planning advice. She lives and breathes by her proprietary motto—together, we can create better futures,” said Ron Carson, CEO and founder of Carson Group. “I love that. As a Carson Wealth office, Beth can expand her impact and empower more and more families to reduce the cost, complexity and confusion surrounding their finances.”

In addition to being a mainstay in the Barron’s annual list of top wealth management firms, Carson Group remains among the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies, has been recognized for two consecutive years by InvestmentNews as a top-50 firm for Best Places to Work for Financial Advisors, and was recently awarded a Best Places to Work in FinTech by American Banker.
